CARL PERKINS COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD
This award recognizes individuals who have used CTE to make a significant impact on their community and demonstrated leadership in programs and activities that promote student involvement in community service.

CLYDE KNIGHT
The Clyde Knight Award is awarded to individuals (typically teacher educators, school administrators, or state staff) who have made a career of working within Career and Technical Education, preferably Trade and Industrial Education, and within that career have made significant contributions to the growth and improvement of Trade and Industrial Education in Oklahoma through research or service to T&I instructors or the T&I Association. This is intended to be the T&I equivalent of a “Lifetime Achievement Award.”

DR. DENNIS PORTIS III RISING STAR AWARD
This award recognizes individuals who have made a significant impact in CTE. These individuals have demonstrated leadership, devotion and a strong commitment to the success of the Oklahoma CareerTech system.

FRIENDS OF T&I AWARD
The Friends of T&I Award is awarded to individuals or organizations (typically individuals, industry, vendors, or technical educators) who have contributed significantly or provided exceptional support for Trade and Industrial Education or SkillsUSA in Oklahoma.

GOLDEN FORK
The Golden Fork is awarded to former Trade and Industrial educators who, through hard work and dedication to teaching, have earned administrative credentials and have become program administrators in the Oklahoma CareerTech system. This award receives its name from the statement that “I’d rather rip my guts out with a fork!!” [than become an administrator] and is intended to recognize your achievement and encourage others to follow in your footsteps.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This award recognizes CTE professionals for their leadership on behalf of ACTE, their innovations in CTE and their contributions to the field over an extended period of time.

NEW TEACHER OF THE YEAR
This award recognizes new CTE teachers who have made significant contributions toward innovative and unique career and technical education programs and shown a professional commitment early in their careers.

NEW PROFESSIONAL
This award is meant to contribute to the professional development of members recognized as potential leaders of their division and the association. The award will entitle six recipients to funding specified annually by the Oklahoma ACTE Advisory Committee toward expenses incurred at the annual ACTE convention. Each recipient will also receive a complimentary registration to the Oklahoma ACTE/ACTE Legislative Seminar.

POSTSECONDARY TEACHER OF THE YEAR
This award recognizes the finest career and technical professionals at the postsecondary level who have demonstrated innovation in CTE, commitment to student success and dedication to the improvement of CTE in their institutions or communities.

TEACHER OF THE YEAR
This award recognizes the finest career and technical teachers at the middle/secondary school level who have demonstrated innovation in the classroom, commitment to their students and dedication to the improvement of CTE in their institutions and communities.
